Reblog,if you’re life has changed when you met you F1 friends on net! #F1ForEver

RIP Sid Watkins

The news has broken this evening that Sid Watkins has passed away, terrible news, my thoughts are with his friends and family.

Sid was an inspirational man who did great things to improve the safety of Formula 1.

He leaves behind hundreds of thousands of fans and drivers worldwide who are truly grateful for the great work he did to improve the safety of the sport we all know and love.

RIP Sid Watkins.

@senilejunta

Completely agree, if anything races should be longer! It seems silly of him to say that it’s too long for young people, a lot of people I know (me included) have been watching F1 since they were children, so concentration’s not a problem at all!

My Thoughts on Luca di Montezemolo's Suggestion to Shorten Races.

Ferrari President, Luca di Montezemolo recently suggested that the current length of races was ‘too long’ for ‘young people’. Here’s my rant on the matter.

What do you think about the idea of shorter or later races?

It seriously made me chuckle, I don’t even know if I can be bothered to send it back. Secondly, it has an amusing story behind it and third, it was a tenner.

It is actually quite amusing when you think about it - unless you’re seriously anti-McLaren or something, at which point, then it’s a problem! Plus a tenner? You can’t go wrong! But it’s definitely one to tell people in the future! :’)

Exactly, it’s amusing and I’m not anti-McLaren. Had they sent me Karthikeyn it might have been another story. Their actual car isn’t worth a tenner.

I’ve just been trolled by the Formula 1 store.
I ordered Sebastian Vettel’s RB7 and this is what I received. Well played Formula 1 store,  well played.

Does Monaco Still Have A Place In Formula 1?

The Monaco Grand Prix is the jewel in the crown of the Formula 1 calendar. For four days every year, the rich and famous from the world over descend upon Monaco to watch 24 beautiful cars race around the tight streets of Monaco.

To the viewer sat at home watching the 78 lap race, it’s not considered the most exciting race of the year, which has left some Formula 1 fans questioning whether Monaco still has a place in modern day Formula 1.

The Monaco Grand Prix: Yay & Nay

As we all headed back to work and school this morning, the glitz and glamour of the Monaco Grand Prix already seemed a long time ago, with many of is wishing ‘it could be Formula 1 everyday’. But wait! It doesn’t have to end there!

Let’s take a look into our Yay’s and Nay’s of the stunning street race held in the principality of Monaco.

Yay:

Mark Webber: Mark Webber inherited pole position from Michael Schumacher, who had a 5 place grid drop for the race. Webber drove fantastically and I couldn’t think of a more worthy winner.  He also made history by becoming the sixth different winner in six races…..Follow the link to read more.

Does Monaco Have a Place In Modern Formula 1?

I’m in the process of writing a blog post discussing whether or not Monaco belongs in modern Formula 1.

What I’d love is to be able to include some of your thoughts; so do you think Monaco still deserves a spot on the calendar & why/why not.

You can either reply to this post or tweet me @NiawmF1.

I know I’ve said this a few times but the F1 Fandom really does have the most amazing people in it and is one of the nicest Fandoms I know :)

I can only second this!!! BEST FANDOM EVER!!!

I can third this! I’ve met some incredible people. I’ve never seen hate in the F1 Fandom like you do with other Fandoms.

Bored? Go caption Stefano Domenicali and some grid girls?
Make sure you like the page so you can find out if you had the best caption.

Weltschmerz - The feeling you experience when you realise the real world can’t match the expectations of your mind.

DAMN. This sums up the feeling I get after a day of looking at Formula 1 pictures all day.

Me: I cant watch this. I can't do it, I'm going to puke
Me: *watches entire game*
